Lead Photographer & Co-FounderGrew up in Cuttack; trained in Bhubaneswar. Leads wedding coverage personally and oversees every portrait and product shoot.
How We Began
In 2016, our founder Ritupriya was a guest at her cousin's Bahaghara in Puri — not the photographer, just family. She watched the hired studio direct the bride to "look more dramatic" through the Saptapadi, completely missing the moment the bride's foot actually hesitated over the seventh rice mound. That hesitation was the whole story. Nobody photographed it.
She started the studio a year later with Subodh, a sound recordist who insisted every film should open with whatever was actually playing — Ghoomura drums, a Bahuna song, the particular hum of a factory floor, the actual audio of a room — instead of a licensed track that could belong to any project anywhere.
Nine years on, we've grown from wedding-only bookings into a small studio covering corporate films, music videos, portraits and product shoots too — but every project still gets the same two or three people who'll actually be there, not a rotating roster.
How We Work
Before any contract, we ask what actually matters to you — which version of the Bahaghara your family follows, what a brand wants a film to say, or what a product actually needs to look like. We shoot the real brief, not a generic checklist.
The huluhuli, the conch, a boardroom's actual acoustics, a studio's live take — our sound recordist is present at every film we shoot. We've never used a stock track over a real moment, and we won't start now.
No studio preset gets applied blind. Our colourist grades each project against the actual light of where it happened — Chilika's particular grey-green water, Konark's red laterite at dusk, a product's actual studio lighting — rather than a one-size warm filter.

Nine Years, Briefly
TheWeddingNarrtor shoots its first Bahaghara — a single-camera, no-crew booking in Bhubaneswar, for family friends.
First commission at the Konark Sun Temple for a pre-wedding story. The wheel motif becomes the studio's mark.
Added a dedicated sound recordist role — the studio's clearest stance: no licensed music over a real moment.
Began sourcing wedding album cloth directly from Sonepur ikat weavers, and took on our first corporate event booking.
Now a full photography and film studio — weddings, corporate and event videography, music videos, portraits and product shoots — across Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack, Konark, and the Chilika coastal belt.
No obligation — we're happy to walk through what coverage actually fits your wedding, event, or shoot.
